I am Alif Ahmed, a PhD student in the Computer Science department at University of Virginia. Under supervision of Prof. Kevin Skadron, I am doing research on accelerating various graph applications using processing-in-memory architectures.
Before coming to the University of Virginia, I was a senior software engineer at Samsung Research & Development Institute, Bangladesh. I primarily worked on virtual prototyping and hardware/software co-design of system on chips (SoC). It involved optimization of SoC architectures, OS porting, embedded device driver development and designing new hardware IP blocks.
I have completed my bachelor's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
